Lorin E. Ferguson PA-C MPAS

Thank you for entrusting me as your Healthcare Provider. I look forward to working together with you as a team in your wellness. I have been working at Bellevue Family Practice for five years now. I see patients of every age including newborn through end-of-life. I’m available full-time to provide you with the majority of your healthcare needs including diabetic care, asthma care, sick visits, injury care such as casting fractures and suturing lacerations, female exams including pap smears, endometrial biopsies, contraception management including IUD placement, mental healthcare, small surgeries including most dermatology procedures, well baby exams, geriatric consultation and medication management, allergy testing and immunotherapy (allergy shots), and many other services. I also see our patients in the hospital if they are admitted for hospital care or surgery. I am here for you most days of the week and also one or two Saturday mornings every month.

A little bit about my training and credentials:

I received 2 Undergraduate Degrees from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Sociology and Anthropology. I took several post-Baccalaureate Courses at Loyola University in Chicago in Psychology and did research for a Clinical Psychiatrist at Loyola and Children’s Hospital in Chicago for three years. Some of my research was published in major journals. I attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, which is consistently ranked one of the top PA programs in the country out of over 150 programs nationally. I am Board Certified. I have several professional interests that I have pursued beyond my training in the areas of surgical procedures, allergy testing, women’s healthcare, preventative medicine and geriatric care. Currently, I am working towards a fellowship in Geriatrics through the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I have been recognized quarterly by UniNet for excellence in Diabetic Care for the past year.

A little bit about me personally:

I’m originally from Chicago but have spent about half my life in Nebraska off and on. I have two teenage daughters and two terriers that keep me pretty busy outside of work! I like to keep active and try to run as much as I can. I enjoy running in half-marathons and 10K’s. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and neighbors. My most recent project has been rehabbing my old bungalow in the Midtown Omaha area.
